Last week, we had a Club Assembly meeting featuring a presentation about the Rotary International Foundation. Dave Ring, Jeff Weinrach and others explained how the money we donate is available to our club for district grants.  The NM Ramp Project has received two district grants and we are applying for the 3rd grant this year.

Dave Simon was awarded his Paul Harris x2 for donating $2000 to the Rotary Foundation.  Want to be a Paul Harris Fellow? There are many members who will match your $500 donation with points to get you to your first Paul Harris.

Ron also updated us on the Rotary Del Sol Foundation.  The grant cycle is starting, if you know of any New Mexico organizations focusing on children - send them to our website for the application and more information.

 

The Club board has made two important changes to meal charges and club dues.  Beginning April 1, we will pay for our meals individually at club meetings (the server will bring us each a bill and take payment).  This will save our Treasurer time and make sure we are not eating (no pun intended there) excess meal costs in our budget.

We are also changing the dues structure to add $10 a month club dues.  The total does will now be $330 a year - billed quarterly ($82.50 a quarter). This would give our club money to use for non-Foundation projects, RYLA, exchange student fees, etc. 

Annunciation Catholic school will be participation in the 4 way test essay contest again this year.  We are still looking for a RYLA student to send... if you know any current high school Juniors, please have them apply. 

We're collecting items for Pursonalties Plus and the Citizen Church homeless drive for the next few months... Bring items from the above list to Jimmy's and we'll get them were they need to go!

We had a great fundraising meeting last Thursday night. Plenty of great ideas for more fun and more money for our club.  

At 6pm this , we'll be reconvening via Zoom to continue brainstorming and planning for next year!
