Shelley Repp of the New Mexico Dream Center gave a very impactful and eye-opening presentation about the epidemic of youth human trafficking that takes place very day in Albuquerque and throughout New Mexico.
Because of both lack of awareness and an overburdened child welfare system, New Mexico is an easy place to find and trap youth who cannot use homeless shelters in the city without their parent's permission.
The New Mexico Dream Center provides shelter and services to help people get out of a human trafficking situation.
The ramp build scheduled for March 16 has been rescheduled to next Saturday (March 21) due to the weather. Sign up on the website to let Phil know that you are coming (so he can let you know if it's cancelled again!)
Party Season...
It's Freeloaders season again. Want to show off your lovely backyard and host our group? You provide the main course - everything else is potluck. Let Ed Robertson know if you are interested.
