On September 16 at the Morning Meeting Satellite Co-Chair and President-Elect Jeff Weinrach and Past-President Bruce Bortner did a presentation on "Be a Vibrant Club". It focused on 9 specific suggestions that Club can do to be a more Vibrant Club.
Jeff and Bruce emphasized that although Del Sol is a great club it could be even better. Among suggestions are having a long term plan, signing up members for MY Rotary, and developing strong relationships.
Also at the meeting, Dean Constantine reminded members to sign up for the Isotopes game on September 25.
Members can still do this on the events calendar on the website or by sending an email to Dean or Herman Haase stating how many people you will have attend. This needs to be done ASAP because Dean wants to firm this up tomorrow. Tickets are $14.50 a piece and can be paid though treasurer John Gordon via Venmo.
This will be a very big week for Del Sol Members. On Tuesday at 7:00AM there will be the September RDS Board Meeting at Jimmy's and via ZOOM. All members are invited to attend especially Red Badge members.
Also on Tuesday at 5:30pm, The new time for the Satellite Meeting, which has been moved to Tuesdays, will be at Nexus Brewery and via ZOOM. Speaker will be Willie Edwards, returning member and inductee talking on "Rolling Back to Rotary". Willie is an excellent speaker and this should really be enjoyable.
On Thursday, September 23 at the Morning Meeting for All Del Sol Rotarians, Jacob Lowery, Executive Director of Turquoise Museum will be the Guest Speaker.
Then on Saturday, September 25, we gather at Isotopes Park for the September Social event, a baseball game between the Isotopes and the Reno Aces.
Finally your editor wonders whether some of you would be interested in joining with a literacy project in the Albuquerque schools. If so, please let me know via email.
Lets all have a Great week in Rotary putting Service above Self.
