On Thursday, December 12, Alexis Tappan, owner AKT Communications, will speak on the topic "Albuquerque: The Most  Interesting Midsize City in America, It's time To Stop Bagging and Start Bragging".  She will discuss why its important to change our narrative about Albuquerque and build on the positive momentum surrounding this place we call home.

Sunday, December 15 at Casa Simon (Dave and Ann Simon's home) Dave and Ann will he hosting the Rotary Del Sol Holiday Party.  Please sign up by clicking on the event in the calendar on the home page.

Service Chair Chris Van Dyck and Satellite member Lance Ellis have obtained medians for our club to maintain in the City of Albuquerque. They are:
On Candelaria Rd NE east of Pennsylvania St NE
On Juan Tabo Blvd north of Constitution Ave NE
On Lowell St south of Academy Rd NE
On Menaul Blvd NE west of Broadway Blvd NE

Each median will be provided a sign by the City announcing ownership by RDS!  We will be planning to meet on the last Saturday of every month to help maintain, inspect, clean and shine our adopted medians.  Volunteers will be invited to meet for breakfast at a local restaurant, then proceed out to the medians for about 30 minutes at each location.  We need 2-3 people per median, so depending on attendance we can divide and conquer following breakfast.

More information will follow as we get closer to December 28 to kick-off our first session!  Please plan to come and join us to make your city safe and clean!

Michael Wood of the East Mountain Interact Club reports that together with the 162 pairs of socks donated by Del Sol Rotarians the East Mountain Club donated  930 pairs of socks to the Albuquerque Opportunity Center.  Kudos to the Interacters!!!

Chris Van Dyke has also brought forth an opportunity to help the Veteran's Integration Center with their transitional housing program. He has sent a link to all members as to items needed.

Tony  Pino has sent out an opportunity to purchase Cider for RYLA.  You can make your order to Ed Robertson at Thursday's Meeting or email him at edrob846@gmail.com. We should all try to support this effort especially since our member Tony is so involved with supporting RYLA and we will have 3 RYLA Campers supported by our Club this year.

Also, lets remember that Beans and Rice is in full swing.  Please bring your Beans and Rice or checks payable to the Rotary Del Sol Foundation for the Beans and Rice Drive.
Lets all have a Great week in Rotary putting Service above Self.
