We envision a world where every child, regardless of background, has access to books that inspire and empower. We’re committed to building literate communities where the joy of reading fuels personal and community growth. Our goal is to spark curiosity, empathy, and lifelong love of learning in every child we reach. Recipient of a $6,400 Chalmer’s Grant from the RDSF to fund their mobile Bookmobile to bring books directly to homeless children. This summer, we have donated over 250 books through outreach connected with the APS Title 1 McKinney-Vento Act. Since inception in September 2020, we have donated over 40,000 books. We have partnerships with Peter’s Paycheck (package books), local schools, shelters and other community organizations. Our programs: Community Projects – In collaboration with community partners and local food pantries, we’ve built a direct link to the children who can benefit the most. Lavender Libros – Invites community leaders to read books aloud, encouraging children to listen, engage, and develop a love of reading. Reading with Shepherd Daisy – A friendly German shepherd, that motivates children to read 15 minutes a day to their pets or stuffed animals.
