- Kent C. – Train tickets to Las Vegas, NM have increased from $40 per ticket to $61 per ticket.

- First National Bank was first skyscraper in Albuquerque in 1972.
- Railroad arrived in 1880.
- Albuquerque was incorporated in 1885. By 1920, it was a booming stop on Route 66.
- Albuquerque had electric street cars in 1904. They were replaced by buses in 1929.
- Sunshine Theater was built in 1929. Still around as the Kimo Theater.
- Hotel Hilton/Andaluz built by Conrad Hilton in 1939. Built on the site of a former livery stable. Next to the hotel, there was a parking structure with air raid sirens on top of it.
- Simms building was built in 1954. Replaced historic bank building as tallest in Albuquerque.
- Albuquerque Journal originally on 100th Avenue but relocated to Journal Center in the 70s.
- Albuquerque High School was built in 1914. It sat vacant for years before being turned into loft apartments.
- Santa Fe Railroad Hospital was built in 1926 for tuberculosis patients. In 1988, it reopened as the Menaul Hospital but closed in the 1990s. It became the Hotel Parq Central in 2010. It has a haunted history.
- The Hiland Theater opened in 1950 and closed in 1995. It was briefly known as Musical Theater Southwest. That closed in 2004 and was sold to NDI in 2009.
- UNM founded in 1889.
- Central Avenue used to be known as TB Avenue because of the TB patients.
