                       THIS WEEK IN ROTARY
Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday there were no Rotary Del Sol Meetings this past week.We hope that you all had a Happy and Joyous Thanksgiving.

Starting this week the 18 members of the East Mountain Interact Club sponsored by Del Sol will be receiving  the Bulletin so they can feel more involved in the work of Del Sol and so we can publicize Service Projects and Fundraisers done by the very active Interact members.  East Mountain Interact Club has a strong online relationship with an Interact Club in Guatemala. Satellite member Michael Wood is the Faculty Sponsor for East Mountain Interact Club.

Tomorrow, November 30  Rotary Del Sol resumes its schedule with a Satellite meeting for all Del Sol Rotarians at 5:30 PM.  This will be a ZOOM meeting and Jeff Weinrach has sent a link to all members.  If you are a visitor and want to attend contact me by replying to this email and a link will be sent to you.

This Satellite Meeting will be a continuation of the series hosted by Dick Wilkinson on other service organizations in the Albuquerque area.  This weeks speaker will be Susan Jennings from the Kiwanis Club.  The purpose of this series is to learn about what other Service organizations do and see if we can join in a project of theirs or how they may help us with one of our projects.

Thursday, December 3, at 7:00AM will be a Morning Meeting for all Del Sol Rotarians. It is a ZOOM meeting  All members are invited to attend. Speaker will be Vitaly Bezrodnov presenting a Program: "Rotary Childrens Fund and it’s international Cultural Exchange Program GOLDEN GATES. Connecting the World and open Opportunities" A link will be sent  to all Del Sol Rotarians by Club Secretary Davis Riordan.  If you are a visitor and want to attend contact me by replying to this email and a link will be sent to you.

December 2 and 3 will be another delivery as part of our Healthcare Heroes project.  Member Steve Reynolds, owner of Jimmy's Cafe, helps prepare Breakfast Burritos and Cinnabuns which our members deliver to front line health care workers at Albuquerque Hospitals.  Volunteer drivers are welcome and can sign up on the events calendar or by contacting Service Chair Chris Van Dyck

December 5 will be the final delivery of the Navajo Hope project. This week coats and blankets will be delivered to the Navajo Nation.  These items were collected by Kirtland Air Force Base and Farmers Insurance. Christine Glidden, who has chaired the Navajo Hope project and done a fantastic job of community service thanks member Jeff Faulwell and Farmers Insurance and KAB for their help with the coat and blanket drive.

The Navajo Hope project has been supported by a grant from Rotary International and has had volunteers from Albuquerque Rotary Clubs including Del Sol, Del Norte and the Downtown Club.  Kudos to Christine, Aly Bitsui and all Rotarians who helped with this very important and much needed project.

As we head into the Holiday Season lets all remember those severely impacted by Covid-19 and look for more opportunities to engage in Service above Self. And let us all remember to Be Safe and Be Well.

Lets all have a Great week in Rotary putting Service above Self.
