This week in Rotary
This week was a very busy one for Del Sol Rotarians.  On Monday August 24, 2020 at 5:30pm the Satellite Group met via ZOOM.  It was a planning meeting to discuss plans for the rest of this Rotary year for the Satellite Group.  Among subjects discussed were speaker subject matter.  Among series suggested were: 1. Health Care Industry, 2. Technology Training, and 3. Inviting People from other Rotary Groups.  Also discussed was how to get better use from Venmo for Lucky Bucs, Dues and Fines.  
Another item for discussion was how to use Apps like Whats App and Group Me to keep in touch with members who we don't see on the ZOOM platform.  
On Wednesday President Ed Robertson, Vice President Herman Haase, Secretary Davis Riordan and RI Foundation Chair Ron Hensley held a ZOOM Meeting to enter our Club Goals in RI Club Central.  Among the Goals was an increase in Membership to 60 Active members and an increase in Membership Sponsors.  
On Thursday Christine Glidden Chaired a meeting of the Tri Club Committee to discuss procedures for the three clubs to assist Christine and Aly Bitsui with the Navajo Hope Project. Various members of the Del Sol, Del Norte and Albuquerque Clubs were given assignments to help with this large project.  In addition to Christine, Ron Hensley and Herman Haase attended on behalf of Del Sol.
On Thursday and Saturday the Ramp project was in full swing building and installing this months Ramp Project.  The Ramp Project is the subject of this years District Grant project.  The Goal is  to construct and Build a ramp for a disabled person each month of the year. Members working this week on the project were Ed Robertson, Tony Pino, Greg Hallstrom, Dick Wilkinson, Brad Sackett, Lance Ellis, and Mike McCaffrey.

This Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 7:00AM there will be a Morning Meeting for All Rotarians.  Speaker will be Mark Freeland, leader of the 8 Navajo Chapters we are serving as part of the Navajo Hope Project.  All Del Sol  Rotarians are invited and Dave Simon has sent out a link to all members to attend this ZOOM meeting.
Next Friday Project Hope will travel to the Jemez Pueblo. You can still sign up to help on the Events Calendar.
Christine Glidden and other Albuquerque area Rotarians on a trip to deliver food and supplies to Nageezhi  on Saturday, August 22 as part of the Navajo Hope Project.
