Did you know that for every person taken by violence, there are at least 10 others left behind to deal with the aftermath.
Our very special guest speaker this past Thursday was Patricia Caristo, Executive Director of Bridges for Victims of Violent Death (NIA Resource Center for Victims of Violent Death), whose mission is to bridge the gaps in victim services to advocate for the many living victims left behind after violent death.

RDS Supports Third Sewing Center in Nepal
Christine Glidden and Sudip, from Nepal Rotary visited the location of third sewing center supported by our Rotary Global Grant at the Sindhuli school for the deaf.
The students were incredibly gracious, and very respectful.
The campus facility is basic, but kept very orderly and clean.
The students, their parents and the principal are very excited about the sewing training that will give students practical skills that they can apply into their futures. The training should begin within the next two months.
The volleyball, net, and the volleyballs and basketballs are in pretty bad shape. Christine hopes the club can raise some extra money to buy new ones.
